This review would have been 5 stars if communication had remained consistent. The first few days Marquis was super responsive and sending pictures everyday. Everything was going well. Two days before my trip was over though, all communication ceased. I messaged him multiple times asking how things were going with no response. The day of pick up, same thing, no response. My husband and I just showed up to his apartment to pick up our dog only to have someone completely different (that we had never met before) return our dog. This individual stated Marquis was sleeping. I understand things happen, phones can break or get lost. But I have yet to hear from him; no explanation or apology. I hate to give a negative review because I know things are tough right now but the complete lack of communication, and having a complete stranger return my dog to me, is unacceptable. I honestly hope nothing bad happened to Marquis because the sudden drop in communication is really bizarre.
My experience was awful. I drove across town to meet the rover sitter. He appeared to be just what I was looking for. I drive back the following week with my pub and he greeted us unable to properly care for her but assured me his roomate could. The first day I received one text with a picture and day two was radio silence, after 8 hours I reported this to Rover who said I had to wait another 4 hours before they could intervene. They would not describe what that protocol was. I was able to send a neighbor to resume my dog. They ignored all of our calls and texts, she finally began yelling my dogs name and when she barked back. The roomate was very high and made up a story about what had happened. The total paid was $220 and Rover refunded $86?
Super accommodating!
Marquis was terrific and gave me multiple updates throughout the time my pup was with him
