Pet care experience
We are an animal-loving couple living in a beautiful home in SE Portland with a large backyard. We are both software engineers and work 100% remotely, so your fur-baby will (almost) never be alone! Both having grown up around animals, William two Brittanys, a Golden Retriever, and about 7 cats and Marlisa an 80lb German Shepard, we have extensive experience caring for the needs of all animals. We don’t currently have any pets ourselves, but frequently foster rescues from Mexico, caring for them until they are able to find a forever-home. We treat all pets we care for as our own, so you can trust that they are in good hands! We love taking photos of your pet and sending updates to help you feel more at ease. Some of our hobbies include hiking, long walks, and working in our backyard and your fur-baby will be able to accompany us whenever possible.

Marlisa and William are two of the very best humans we know! Let alone being two of the best dog caregivers we know! Our dog Django, will literally freak out even at the mere mention of “Marlisa” or “William”! Let alone when we actually pull up to their home where Django will RUN up to their front door, wagging his tail, with a big smile on his face 😆. My husband and I feel so blessed to have found these two dog lovers! And you can’t put a price on the level of love & care that Marlisa & William provide 🙏🏽❤️. When we are able to book with Marlisa & William, we are guaranteed a peace of mind that our dog/dogs will be well taken care of and then some 🥰

Marlisa and William were great and really understanding when our flight was unexpectedly delayed. Jax seem to have enjoyed his stay and loved getting the pictures. Our little family appreciate you both!

We have a large backyard in which puppers are able to run around. We live within walking distance of a large park that we love to play fetch at. We work to build trust with your animal to make sure they are able to feel comfortable and happy in our home. Your pet’s safety is our #1 priority throughout their stay with us. *** Although we understand that it can be scary and confusing for a dog to stay at a new home and it's totally normal for them to take some time to adjust, we are currently unable to accommodate dogs with severe separation anxiety. This goes along with our belief that your pet's well-being is our #1 priority. Please let us know if you have any questions about this. *** We do not offer meet&greet's at this time, but you are welcome to drop off your fur baby a little early on drop-off day for a quick chat!

We would like to know anything that makes your pet unique! What is their routine, what is their favorite activity or toy, do they have any triggers? Anything that will make the stay more comfortable for your pet would be great to know!
A typical day
On a typical day, we would take your dog on a long walk before breakfast. They would get to play in the backyard as much as they want throughout the day. We are able to provide short play sessions throughout the day as needed. In the afternoon, we would take them to the park to play fetch or whatever their favorite game is! The evening would be wrapped up with lots of cuddles.

Availability
We both work from home, so we will both be with your fur-baby most of the time. Our priority is keeping your fur-baby happy and our schedules allow us flexibility to keep their schedule similar to what they are used to from home.
