Pet care experience
I have two dogs and for the past 9 years I have volunteered at an animal rescue weekly. Providing care, walking feeding and playing with dogs while they awaited a forever home.

My family and I have been so lucky to have Marlene as our dog walker. She’s an honest, caring, and wonderful person. My dog Blaze absolutely loves her!!! She is always on time and you can tell she truly loves dogs. We are so fortunate to know that when Blaze is in her care that we have nothing to worry about. Marlene B and I worked together for about 5 yrs as dog care volunteers at the Sanctuary at Haafsville in Breinigsville, PA. She was responsible for walking, feeding, and cleaning dog kennel, in addition to giving dog meds, as required. Marlene was reliable, responsible, calm, safety conscious, dog savvy, a good decision maker, and always very loving with the dogs. In addition, Marlene was respectful, helpful, and a true team player with her fellow volunteers. I would highly recommend her for a position with Rover!

It is always helpful to know how a dog walks on a lead and how they respond to other animals and people while out in public. Does your dog have a favorite toy and what type of treats they prefer.
A typical day
I enjoy finding ways to provide enrichment to dogs. It can be as simple as a walk in a park or hiding treats in boxes for a pup to find. On warm days a swim in a stream or playing with a water hose in the back yard. I find entertaining and exercising your dog fun and rewarding.
