Bonjour! My name is Markis. I've worked as dog handler for D pet hotels & I do dog walking, drop in visits & pet sitting for Wag! Also, I've raised my dog since he was six weeks old and he's about to be six years old this year in July. I've helped watch friends dogs in the past & currently live with roommates where there's five dogs and three cats living here so when she goes out of town I'll watch and take care of them all. I'm a believer of positive reinforcement as well. I have many passions in life revolving around health & wellness, ranging from functional fitness to nutrition to getting outside to nature with my dog 🐕 getting fresh air. It's our routine everyday to go walk around the park, we both benefit, Its our favorite time of day. Zeus (my dog) is a Lab, Shepard, Chow mix so he's always had tons of energy, that's definitely mitigated by taking him out to the park daily & the dog park weekly. He was an undesirable dog due to the Chow in his mix but I dedicated majority of his youth giving him exercise, toys, friends, experiences, different places and definitely love and attention. I taught him to listen while off leash, sit on command, give me his paw, lay down & since I exposed him to so many people and dogs throughout his life, he's great with both plus I have a kitten who he helped raise so he's good with cats. I believe that all pets are emotional support animals as far as the health benefits animals can bring. Some benefits I learned about are exercise, mental health betterment like companionship, helping with depression, anxiety loneliness, getting into a routine. I'm an advocate for getting a pet for those health benefits plus the lessons I've learned along the way like unconditional love, selflessness, and joy from having my boy. I always say about him, who saved who? I feel like we saved each other. He's a huge part of my world and I only mention that to let you know that I love him, the dogs I work with and any dogs I meet at the dog parks, they have become a passion of mine so I'm here to use my passion to help anyone who needs their fur baby taken care of, I'm here to help. 🙏 I'm currently working part time as a dog handler so I'll have plenty of time in-between my week to help walk, do drop in visits and I'm available for sittings Friday evenings and night. Plus I can work a sitting or walk into my schedule with a couple weeks notice. When it comes to sitting at your home, I would spend plenty of time making sure your fur baby gets familiar with me by giving them attention and pets. I'll consistently take them out to the restroom & walks if you'd like. Plus I'll play with your pet depending if they like to fetch or tug.
