Dog lover - volunteers at rescue

Pet care experience

I have volunteered at a Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue for over a year. At the facility I’ve mainly cared for pit bulls, and have learned many valuable skills related to dog handling and understanding dog behavior. I am confident that I can handle any size dog, and can de-escalate reactive behavior. I adopted my dog Noel from the facility, and strive to provide her with a great home every day.

Safety, trust & environment

I plan to take your dog for walks around your neighborhood and local parks. I am comfortable with any type of leash that you provide. I have experience with place mat, crating, and various enrichment activities. I will exercise diligence and tender care to ensure your little ones are kept safe and have all of their needs met!

Information Mark N. would like to know about your pet

Is your dog reactive towards dogs, cats, or children? How does your dog respond to noisy crowded environments? Does your dog have an aversion to touch anywhere on his/her body? Is your dog afraid of getting wet? Is your dog allowed on certain furniture? How long does your dog like to walk? How often does your dog need potty breaks? What commands does your dog know? Is your dog crated when left alone? What treats does your dog like? Where does your dog like getting pet the most?

A typical day

I love to take dogs on walks around the neighborhood and to local parks or trails. In my experience, dogs that have lots of energy typically require something that engages their body and mind such as fetch, running, snuffle mat, place board training, and treat puzzles. Both high and low energy dogs often like to be given lots of pets and cuddles.
