I've been an avid animal lover all of my life (dogs, cats, turtles, newts, birds and fish). I even used to think I wanted to be a vet until I realized that meant performing surgery and the thought of that made me a li'l weak in the knees. My beloved Newfy-mix, Simon, was with me, until just recently, for almost fifteen years and I miss him every single day. To balance out not having a pooch of my own at the moment, I spend lots of time with my cat, volunteer with dogs at the Sean Casey Animal Rescue organization and spend much time playing with my family's and friends' dogs (my sister-in-law trains bomb sniffing dogs!). I am a longtime member of the SPCA.
