Pet care experience
My wife and I owned whippets for over 12 years - we prefer short-haired dogs - preferably whippets, or similar. We are an active couple, and thoroughly enjoy engaging with this breed. Your dog can expect lots of quality time - exploring the woodland (we live 5 minutes from a large state park and other trails), going on errands, play time and lots of snuggle time. We also have a very large fenced-in backyard. We are intimately familiar with the lovable, quirky nature of whippets in particular, and their sensitivity to cold and their need for overall gentle handling. I work from home, so either weekends and/or weekdays would work out well. We're looking forward to meeting you and your lovable companion!

A typical day
Two very long outings a day, and a couple of shorter outings during the day. We also love throwing the frisbee, and going on errands together.

I generally take my dog off-leash on trails (in the morning) and to a large state park that has an off-leash dog field (late afternoon)
