College Student-Your New Dog Walker
Pet care experience
My mother was the Assistant Director of the SPCA for several years and her sense of taking care of animals is something I have carried with me. Since I was a kid I have been taking care of my family's and my own dogs at the same time. This included the regular: walks, feeding, cleaning up after them, and bathing. When moving out onto my own, my home hasn't ever felt complete without at least two dogs and two cats in it. I'm not sure why but I enjoy the hectic chaos that can come from so many animals. I have experience with and I'm very familiar with dogs of varying sizes (from 10 lbs to 100 lbs) and am comfortable handling any breed/size of dog.

Mark did an amazing job checking in on my cat and giving him his meds while I was away for a week. He was communicative, sent photos, and even went out of his way to pick up extra treats he thought my cat might like. I highly recommend Mark and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again!
Mark is terrific! From our Meet & Greet to his final visit, he was professional, punctual and friendly. Above all, he played with Denny and made him forget we were away for the night! Thank you, Mark. See you next time!

Mark did a great job looking after our two kitties, he is very responsible and provided some amazing pictures and updates. Definitely will reconsider having Mark look after kitties the next time we are away!

I have a portable kennel/crate that can be used if necessary as well as all the necessities for a doggie drive to a hike through Henry Cowell with plenty of portable trays for water, if a longer hike is what you were seeking for your dog.

The things I would like to know about your dog would include it's size, temperament, and energy level. How it interacts with other dogs, some of your dog's favorite treats or toys. I would also like to know where you would like for me and your furry baby to spend our time together at!
A typical day
I would really enjoy taking your pup on a hike/walk through the many beautiful areas around Santa Cruz, whether that means a long journey or something short to alleviate any potty urges. Some of my favorite places to go include the Henry Cowell forest, Downtown, and the Wharf Depending on your pups temperament as well as your desires, I could easily accommodate traveling in a car to a destination with your pet, or even a longer walk!

Availability
Currently I am going to college to finish off my degree before going back to working full time. This will take the next couple years which I will be focusing on my schooling. Because of this, my available hours will change per semester; however, I am trying to keep clear afternoons/evenings/weekends for a part-time job or, hopefully, some time taking care of some amazing dogs!
