Pet care experience

When I commit to looking after your dog, they are my priority - they will never be left for longer than an hour, that would be just for a supermarket shop, if they really cannot be left, we have Deliveroo! For anyone new to the app 1) If there are any accidents that happen whilst in my care your dog is fully covered under the insurance of Rover up to £60,000. 2) The app hold the payment until two days after your dog is collected I have had pleasure of caring for over 30 breeds through Rover and I have truly enjoyed every moment of it. If you're interested, feel free to check out the reviews from satisfied pet owners who have entrusted their furry friends to me. I have had so many dogs now that my bungalow feels a bit empty without a dogs around, my calendar is up-to-date and I am happy to accept last-minute bookings as long as we have time to meet. No same day drop offs unfortunately. I genuinely love what I do, so please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Rest assured, I'll always respond promptly to any enquiries you may have. The first step after the request will be to arrange a meet and greet. The idea of this is for you to see the environment, for your dog or dogs to have a sniff around and meet me and to go through the details to ensure your ferry needs are catered for. I do always ask when your dog is boarding for clear, written instructions to their walking times, eating times and anything you think I need to be reminded of to be written and that goes on the fridge throughout the whole time of their day. I have learnt this is the best way after looking after over 35 dogs in under a year!! Many owners seem to believe that their dogs are fine when they are away, but in my experience they rarely are. Due to this if you are booking for longer than seven days I will insist on having a trial day/night prior to them boarding as dogs don’t really have a sense of time like humans do and the difference in the dog when they come for longer stays has proved to be so beneficial, especially for dogs that suffer with separation anxiety. When we meet, I will ask lots of questions, please be aware there is absolutely no judgement whatsoever. It is just so interesting that people have different ways of looking after their dogs and all questions are devised from personal experience all around making sure that your dog is happy and content during there stay.

So glad Riley seemed to enjoy his o/night stay with Mark, received happy video, photos and regular updates. Definitely puts my mind at rest for when I am away for longer to have someone take such good care of him.

Cannot recommend highly Mark enough! Instead of an overnighter Daisy stayed for the week, she had the best time and we didn't have to worry in the slightest as he takes such good care of her. Very happy pup and very happy Mum! Thank you!! 😊

If we could give more stars than 5 we would. Luna had her first night away with Mark and enjoyed every second. We were kept up to date with detailed explanations to pictures and videos to ensure Luna was having the best time. She was so happy and relaxed which in turn made us feel great that we chose Mark to look after Luna. Cant wait for Luna to be with Mark on our big holiday 🩷

Safety, trust & environment

My bungalow is nestled in a peaceful residential area just outside of Maidstone. It's part of a gated development with a lovely grassy area so is very safe and secure. Here's the best part: I never have dogs from different families at the same time. This means your furry friend will have my undivided attention. I strive to provide a peaceful and relaxed environment for your dog. Since I live alone, it will just be me and your dog(s) sharing the space. If your dog's health permits, I'll make sure they get extra walks. I am quite active myself and I believe they deserve a little vacation too! When it comes to food, I always stick to what you provide, unless we've agreed. Dogs have sensitive stomachs, so I want to avoid any tummy troubles. Even if your dog has had some behavioral challenges, I'm willing to consider them. Just be honest with me about their needs and tendencies. I'm familiar with how separation anxiety can manifest in dogs, and being prepared leads to a happier pup. There are plenty of outdoor options nearby, with a huge woods just across the road and Mote Park within a ten-minute walk. And I must admit, I love taking dogs to the beach, no matter the weather! Speaking of the outdoors, my small garden serves as a convenient toileting area and I often leave the door open to let in some fresh air so they can chill outside or inside. I am not a stickler for rules when it comes to furniture or beds. Your furry friend can have the full run of the bungalow – it's their home away from home. So, if this sounds like the perfect place for your dog, don't hesitate to get in touch!

I always believe in having a "meet and greet" before any dog boarding. It's beneficial for everyone involved, especially after a recent incident where I was bitten by a dog that I couldn't meet beforehand. To avoid any last-minute letdowns, the meeting will take place at my home. This way, you can see the environment, provide any necessary information about your dog and I will also have some questions prepared based on my own experience to ensure your dog's comfort during their stay. As flattered as I am that some ask me to work off of the app, I am very loyal to it as it is very simple, covers everybody and gives me peace of mind to be able to actually enjoy what I do -so please do not ask as it can offend. Rates are also not negotiable, I think you will agree my reviews speak for themselves. I don’t just board your dog, I pretty much babysit your dog and will always make the effort to do things to ensure they have a nice holiday too (subject to their health obviously) which is why a pre-meeting is essential. No, Dog is the same and I really do like them to have a painless transition as quite often it can be distressing being in a new environment without their owners and after my experience have seen it many time, owners don’t see what their dog is like when they are not there but be rest assured they will be fine with me.

A typical day

I am fortunate to have Mote Park right on my doorstep, there are acres of woods just across the road. With my trusty car, I love exploring these outdoor spaces with dogs. We often go on trips to the beach and enjoy the beauty of nature together.

I work full-time from the comfort of my home, which allows me the flexibility to provide exceptional care for dogs. Truth be told, I have a special affinity for dogs, often finding more joy in their company than with most people. Whether it's a day of daycare, a weekend getaway or an extended stay, you can rest assured that your dog will be well taken care of. Think of it as a little doggie babysitting service, where your furry friend will receive all the one to one (or 2/3 if you have a family) attention and care they need. I NEVER have dogs from different homes at the same time.
