Pet care experience
FOR BOARDING: I do require that your pets be crate trained to sleep in at night. This can be your own crate or I can provide a large one as well. Thank you! I've loved animals since a young age, and had several dogs growing up that I've cared care for. In the last 5 years, I've watched various breeds of dogs (e.g., huskies, labs, pits, schnauzer, smaller mixes) for extended overnight stays. I've also cared for cats and birds in their own homes. As I've transitioned to working from home full time, I find a lot of joy in having a dog companion around and making sure they are cared for throughout the day. Stays include frequent walks, feeding, trips to the park, playing and of course many pets throughout the day :) I'm happy to meet your dog where they are in terms of energy level and needs, and have a medium sized fence yard for them to hang outside if they'd like to. I live steps away from Tecalote Canyons trails, if your dog likes an easy going hike! I'll only host one family at a time - so your pet always gets very personalized attention :)
Reviews
Mariya was amazing!!! She took such wonderful care of our 2 girls and spent quality time with them on top of their basic care. would absolutely love to have her again
Mariya is the best! She is very communicative and send updates with pictures everyday. My pup always has the best time in her care and it’s so great knowing he’s in good hands while I’m away.
Dolce had so much fun with Mariya! Thank you so much for taking great care of her for the day :)
Mariya kept me updated with lots of pictures and with daily updates on what Billie was up to that day! I felt at ease with Billie in their care, and could see through the updates that Mariya really took care of her and helped her stay comfortable with me gone!

When boarding at my own home, I make sure to get familiar with the dog and it's needs first - understanding their feeding and walk schedule, energy level, and any special needs. I'm up front and honest if I don't think your dog and I will be a good fit for what I can provide during their stay. Happy to keep the communication open throughout the stay sharing as many pictures and updates as you'd like to make you feel comfortable knowing your pet is safe.

Information Mariya D. would like to know about your pet
**I require that we do a meet & greet first to ensure that both parties feel comfortable. I only accept house trained dogs, so please be honest about this. Your dog should be able to be alone for up to 4 hours for a weekend stay to roam freely at the home or comfortable in a crate as we may need to occasionally step out. My boyfriend will also be here throughout the stay, so we need to know how the dog behaves around males / new people in general** I accept all breeds of dogs, some information I'd like to know about your pet: - spayed/neutered? - vaccinated? - any special needs/disabilities? - any medications / allergies? - temperament and behavior? any seperation anxiety? - typical day needs including feeding, walks, meds. - vet contact and emergency contact information.
A typical day
I can provide a lot of pets and belly rubs throughout the day as I work from home. I live in a very safe, dog friendly neighborhood with plenty of grassy areas for walks. If your dog is a hiker, I'm steps for Tecolote Canyon for more intensive excercise. If your dog likes to meet other friends, there will be plenty of opportunities around the neighborhood.

Availability
I work full-time from home, and have time in the morning, during lunch, and evenings to go on walks, as well as opportunities for more frequent potty breaks if needed. I am usually available throughout the week, and most weekends (schedule is up to date to reflect availability).
