I have a 10 year old Rottweiler at my parents home. While my dog being mine, I taught her when to go outside to pee, walking her daily, feeding her, playing with her and doing all the essentials a dog needs to feel loved. I took the time each day to brush her out and insuring she had a bath at least one a week. Also, when her ALC tore, I made sure she was taking all the proper medication and taking her to her vet appointments
