Stellar Home Sitter & Puptographer

Pet care experience

I grew up on a farm in Greene, NY. I have always had lots of pets. At one point in my childhood I had 6 dogs at once. Dogs have always been like family in our household. I love dogs of all sizes and ages. My whole life has been filled with animals and I hope you pick me to take care of your family members, I will take care of them like I do my own and as a cautious person I would never let anything happen your pets. I moved to Atlanta GA last year and built up my rover business in and around Atlanta during that time. I recently moved back to the Southern Tier and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I can still do rover housesitting and walking in the area. I am currently living with my parents and our dogs so I can not board your pets at my home. I happily still do house sitting and walking or drop in visits! Please reach out if you think I would be a great fit for you! I currently work full time Monday-Friday 10am-7pm and I have weekends off which is why I still have my active profile because I can happily spend my weekend with your pets while you are away. I can also do drop in visits before and/or after work.

Marissa did an amazing job with my animals and gave me regular photo updates. My house looked even cleaner when I got back than how I left it!

Marissa was AMAZING. She stayed with our puppies on our wedding weekend. Weddings are stressful, but one thing I didn’t have to stress about is my pups. She sent us photos and videos of them. She did everything that we asked. She was very professional, and you can tell just how much she loves dogs. We would book her again x1000!! You won’t be disappointed hiring her go dog sit your fur babes!!

Marissa house sat and took care of our cat, Cheech, for a week. She was great at sending updates, asking questions if necessary, taking care of other chores and things like that. But more than that she made Cheech not feel alone and really made him happy. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a super responsible pet and house sitter.

Marissa was extremely communicative which is really important for us! We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our three fur-children we’re having a blast and getting to sleep in their own beds. We will definitely continue to use Marissa for all our walking and pet sitting needs.

Information Marissa P. would like to know about your pet

I like to know how your dogs act around other dogs if I am walking them and we come upon some other pups during our adventures. I usually avoid other animals if I see that the other animals might have more control than their handlers or do not seem friendly to begin with. I would never put your pups in danger and have put myself between my rover pup and a loose dog before, and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I also like to know things to avoid with your pets and if you are training them in a certain way so that I can help rather than hinder your efforts.

A typical day

Whatever your pet(s) schedule is, I will try to stick to it as closely as possible. If house sitting I have no qualms about sharing a bed if your pets prefer to sleep with their humans. I always ask about favorite routes for walks and any tips or tricks you have to keep your pet(s) at ease while I am with them.
