Pet care experience
I have had dogs my entire life, and I adopted a cat a few years ago! I love hanging out with my puppy and kitty, and I love animals who like to cuddle and play, or even just need a bit of company! I've been petsitting for ten years now, and am experienced with all sorts of dogs and cats, from super small to quite large. I have given animals medicines when required, so I am comfortable with that, as well as working with young dogs who may not be fully trained, as I have helped out in that process both for my own dogs and the dogs of others. I have been around a lot of young foster puppies, but I also have experience with senior dogs. I love making furry friends and going on walks or runs.

I hate to give Marissa a great review only because then she might not be available when we need her again! Finding a good pet sitter can be tough; you want someone who loves your pets almost as much as you do. Marissa fits that bill for us. My dogs are excited to see her, and she deals with my “special needs” furbaby with affection and patience.

I would like to know the breed of the dog (for size reference mostly). I've worked with all kinds and have enjoyed every one: German Shepherds, Australian Cattle Dogs, Golden Retrievers, Toy Poodles, Puggles, Mini Dobermans... I would also like to know any behavioral issues to look out for or be aware of, as well as any commands you're working on that I could try to assist with. I'd like to know your command words as well, for bathroom, crate if you have one, or anything else you see as important. Commands you're working on - command words
A typical day
We will certainly go on walks, and play whatever games that the dog loves (tug of war, fetch, etc.)! I am available to go on long walks, or even runs. I am also available just to keep a dog company - give them a ton of affection. With the permission of the owner, I like to bring over treats and toys sometimes.

Over the summer, I have a lot of availability because I am a teacher! While I am off school, I would love to spend time with lots of furry friends.
