Pet care experience
I grew up with cats my whole life, but have a great deal of experience caring for dogs too:) I've lived with and often watched over my friends and families dogs and love caring for any type of animal. In April of this year I adopted a wonderful pup, named Fi, and have been loving having a wonderful dog of my own to take care of!

Marissa was absolutely wonderful. Before I dropped Juniper off, I communicated that she has a little bit of anxiety with new people/dogs/places. Marissa was great about letting me stay for a minutes while Juniper warmed up to the new space and to her dog Fi. She sent great updates that made me feel so good about her being there. Juniper came home happy and exhausted!
Marissa is so patient and caring with my wily dog. She is a gentle caregiver and she genuinely loves all dogs. Marissa is a calm and nurturing person who can connect with any dog she meets.
Marissa was a DOLL to my 100 lbs Bernese. I truly think they had their own secret language. While I find it a chore to brush out all that fur, he would happily sit at her feet while she went at his coat with a brush. I know he loves me, but I could feel his little tinge of sadness every time I would get home from a trip- because he knew Marissa was leaving!
Marissa is very responsible and caring pet owner and animal lover. She is tuned into the needs of her pet and other animals around her, and is attentive to assure their needs are met. Marissa has a lot of experience dog sitting and loves to take dogs for walks through out the day when she is watching them. I would trust leaving both of my dogs with Marissa any day!

I have a large fenced in yard and a spacious apartment. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks (usually 2 times a day) and if the pup is up for a hike, I enjoy that too. I have two dog-loving roommates (all of whom have experience living with dogs), and who are around to join in on long walks or give extra snuggles. I do, however, try to keep animal care consistent and my responsibility, so I take clear responsibility for your pet's care and welcome my friend's participation when it works for them.

I would also love to know rules/commands/expectations you have for your pup (ex: no sleeping on couches...etc) so that way my care is aligned with your care!
A typical day
I love to walk around local nature trails (such as the Intervale, Shelburne Bay, Ethan Allen Homestead, Philo Ridge Farm...etc). If your dog is up for it, I'm also an experienced hiker, and love to frequent trails such as Camel's Hump, Snake Mountain, Mount Hunger, and many more!

I have a flexible schedule. I'm available weekdays in the afternoons and evenings, and weekends for all of your care needs. Starting in December, I will have even more availability during the day as well as evenings and weekends!
