I am a very caring, friendly, empathetic person who not only has extensive experience in the health field and mental health related professions but also has experience loving and caring for dogs. Growing up I had a pug and boston terrier. My pug became blind, deaf, and diabetic over the years. I would have to give him insulin shots and use touch to guide him so I am equipped to work with dogs who are either elderly or has disabilities. My family and I took my dogs everywhere we went, even on vacation and camping! I am very aware that every breed has different traits and personalities. For example, my boston terrier was extremely energetic and vocal while my pug was more mellow. I also have experience with Greyhounds and Labradors with close family friends. A while after my dogs had passed away, I adopted a cat from North Shore Animal League. Owning a pet has been an important part of my life. Though I do not have professional dog care on my resume I have helped many of friends with their dogs before. I am willing to meet for an interview and answer any questions proving I am qualified to work with your dog and provide the best care. If your dog has any issues with the smell of cats or cat hair, I can assure you I keep a clean home and frequently launder clothes so your dog will feel comfortable.
