Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Marissa! I have loved and been around dogs my whole life. I have a German Shepherd dog of my own, his name is Leo. I also have a Golden Retriever, his name is Norbert. 🥰 I have experience working with dog trainers and volunteering at Paws Animal Shelter. Overall I am a good communicator, trustworthy, and a reliable pet sitter. I have worked with a variety of breeds from micro to giant. It is also important to note that I have worked with dogs experiencing separation and social anxiety. I will provide a positive experience for dogs and their owners by exercising, playing, and loving their pets. Warning: The dog will be spoiled. :-) My dream is to one day open up a doggy-daycare/boarding facility for dogs. The ultimate goal is to provide you with the best experience possible while you're out of town- knowing that your pet is in the best hands possible; receiving quality care and love. I am now offering boarding services at my house to kickstart my business… inquire for more information. 🫶🏻 AVAILABILITY & SCHEDULING: My calendar is accurate two months in advance. If you have any questions about scheduling something a little further out please don’t hesitate to reach out. 😊
Reviews
Marissa is just the best! We were new to the area and needed to find someone to take care of our dog a couple days a week and she was extremely flexible and happy to jump right in for us and take the very best care of him. She is constantly providing us with updates and pictures and we don't know what we would do without her.
Marissa did an outstanding job taking care of my dog while I was out of town. I highly recommend her!
I have known Marissa for almost 10 years, and she is a very loving and caring person! She is great with my small poodle mix Macey! Macey is now 15 years old, and Marissa is able to tenderly care and play with her. We know that Macey is safe and well taken care of despite her age while we are out of town. I highly recommend Marissa!
Marissa has watched our dogs at our house for extended vacations and we have been super happy with her! We have 2 Rottweilers and a Black Lab and they can be a bit challenging to handle all at once but she did great and they love her! She also took care of our cats AND ran the vacuum to keep up with all the pet hair. Worrying about pets on vacation is stressful and I had no worries with Marissa! The pics she sent me helped too! ?

It is important to note that I have two large dogs of my own, so it would be best if your dog is good with other animals IF you are interested in a BOARDING SERVICE at my house. And we ONLY ACCEPT DOGS that can be CRATED while we are at work. I am very interactive with my dogs always. We get outside every day to play and get some exercise, so the same would be guaranteed for your dog. A tired dog is a happy dog! :) In addition, this spring, my fiancé and I plan to install a fence around our property. We are so excited for that. In the meantime, the leash is our friend. Your furry friend will always be on leash when outdoors under direct supervision.

Information Marissa M. would like to know about your pet
Normal routines - potty and feeding schedule. Typical energy level, and owner commands. Behavior - is your dog aggressive or timid? I prefer non-aggressive dogs. This means not people aggressive. I have experience with nervous dogs, however, I’d prefer for us to be comfortable around one another before I’d start watching them. I’d suggest multiple meet and greets for this personality! If your dog is okay being around other dogs or cats and if they get along with children. If your dog is crate trained and house trained. Clean of fleas and ticks. Any medications or illnesses I should be aware of. Are they up to date with their vaccines? And lastly: belly rubs, tug of war, frisbee, fetch.. what does your dog enjoy?
A typical day
I am more than happy to play fetch with your dog, or even take them for a walk around the neighborhood. Give them some healthy, yummy treats with lots of belly rubs. :) if they cannot exercise I am totally okay with being a couch potato with your pup! It's all about what you and your dog are comfortable with. Before I care for your pet, I believe it's important for us to set up a meet and greet! This way you as my client are confident knowing that your dog is in good hands. If you have any additional questions or concerns, don't hesitate to message me!
