I am a nurse and work at a local hospital 3 days/week, however, a dog, in my care, should not be left alone longer than 8 hours because my husband will be home before I am on the days I work. I’m happy to talk about what my schedule is so that it can be factored into your decision of where you would feel your pet(s) would be most content. As a family we make sure the pet(s) are fed and get an opportunity for the bathroom before leaving. We prefer them to be crate trained for our peace of mind. When at home we like to include pets in whatever it is we are doing, give bathroom breaks often and play!
