The Best Care for Your Best Friend!

Pet care experience

Hi everyone! I am a graduate from the University of New Hampshire where I earned my B.S. in Zoology and also earned my Master's of Education through American International College. I recently graduated with a degree in veterinary technology and have passed the national exam leading me to become a certified veterinary technician. Currently, I work at an animal hospital as both a veterinary technician and receptionist. It is a great job and I love spending time with the animals! If you want great, reliable care for your pet, I will provide you with that! Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since the day my family and I found my dog, Scooter. It was the middle of December when we found him and his sister huddled in a box on the side of the road. While we took in Scooter, a friend of ours gave his sister a home. Scooter was only four weeks old and had to be formula-fed. I enjoyed having the responsibility of caring for another living being and knowing that his wellness depended on my family and me. He grew up to be an extremely intelligent, loyal, and most importantly, loving friend.

Marissa watched my English Bulldog Stella this past weekend and was fantastic. She sent me updates on how Stella was doing (and even sent some pictures!) and helped me feel at ease that Stella was in good hands. I 100% recommend Marissa and will definitely have her stay with Stella in the future.

This was the longest trip I have ever left my dogs and it was the farthest I have gone since my mom passed away. My mom was my dog care guru! So to find someone that I feel so comfortable with being 4000 miles away is really something special. Marissa sent pictures and checked in with me daily. My little guy occasionally skips a meal because he doesn't like change and gets a little stressed when I'm gone. He ate almost every meal while I was away and I was sure to know that he was eating. This meant he was comfortable with Marissa which in turn made me comfortable being away. Both boys were happy and healthy when I got home. My mail was collected and the house was tidy. I will be sure to use Marissa on any opportunity she is available to sit for my boys.

My pups are very important to me, as I am sure your dogs are too. Marissa was great for my first official dog sitter. In the past I had my mother, who my dogs bond was as strong with her as with me. Then I had friends and family and would have different people at different times. This was not convenient for me or comfortable with my dogs. My dogs like routine and are use to a certain amount of attention. They can have a bit of anxiety when I am gone, not separation anxiety but they just don't adjust to change very quickly. Marissa was wonderful with them. She handled my lab's barking outburst for attention and in an effort to voice his frustration with the change in routines. She snuggled up close with my morkie who just needs that special human to chill him out. She sent me lots of photos and video and the house was left very orderly. It was a weekend getaway but she is staying with them for a week coming up very soon and now I know I can travel the 1000 of miles and be gone for the full time without worry. Still breaks my heart to leave my pups behind but I know they are in very good hands. I highly recommend Marissa for your animal caring needs!!
