Pet care experience
I'm currently in the Mueller area and love going to the park or getting on the trail as much as I can! I grew up with both cats and medium-large sized dogs (Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix, German/Australian Shepard Mix and Blue Heeler). I've always had a love for all animals and really enjoy spending time with them. I have also volunteered at various animals shelters that has given me the opportunity to meet different breeds and personalities.

Marissa was the perfect choice for me to have watch my older dog, Sadie. She took extra time and care to ensure I didn’t have any worries while away. She communicated very well, sent pictures, and followed all the directions I left. I have already booked her again!
Marissa watched my 2 cats while I was on vacation. She sent me a picture each time she visited to let me know my fur babies were doing great. It was a relief to know that I could leave them but they would be well taken care of. I will request Marissa again in a heartbeat.
Marissa is great with all animals. Anytime she is around them, they all seem to have an instant bond with her. She is very caring and nurturing. Marissa has volunteered at APA many times because of her love for helping all animals. She is very sweet and wants nothing but the best for all pets.

A typical day
I'd like to make sure I have a feel for each pets personality and adjust my care to their needs and wants. If a pet is highly active then I'm happy to ensure they have space to get some energy out. On the other hand, if a pet is more reserved and wants to take their time to get to know me, I'll always be respectful of their space while giving encouraging words and offering favorite toys.

Availability
I currently work full time and am WFH on Wednesdays and Fridays so those weekdays are pretty flexible but I try to keep pet-care to the early mornings and evenings on the other weekdays. Weekends are often pretty flexible for me!
