Pet care experience
Veterinary assistant in the works to becoming a veterinary technician. I have been looking after animals since I was 18. My preference is that your pet is up to date on vaccines, is leash trained, is friendly, is good around other dogs, and is good in the car.

Marissa has been an absolute pleasure. We had her house and dog-sit for our 2 dogs for a week in Feb. 2019. Marissa is confident with our large, exuberant dog and managed a schedule that included our kids stopping in while we were on holidays. She administered medication for 1 of our dogs and was very conscientious. Our home was in great shape when we got home and the dogs even new collars that she bought them. We highly recommend Marissa.
Marissa works very well with all types of animals. While I am away I trust she will always take great care of my dog and cats. She is patient, kind and enjoys the time spent watching/walking animals.
Marissa has looked after our dog(s) and cat on several occasions, and treats them as she would her own pet. She asks lots of questions ahead of time to make sure she is well informed on everything to do with our fur baby. She addresses her concerns if they have any medical issues, and is not afraid to go the extra mile to look after an animal with medical issues. I would (and have) recommend her to anyone wanting to have her stay in their home to look after their pets or just walk the dog.

We will be for walks at some trails in Nanaimo and or Ladysmith. If your dog is off leash and has great recall we can throw a stick or ball for hours.

My work schedule is Monday to Friday 8-5, I am available weekends only. I can start walking your pet as early as 8am when it starts to get light out.
