Pet care experience
I have 2 dogs of my own, a Siberian husky and a mountain cur-pitty mix. I have owned and cared for dogs of all sizes, all my life! I currently work as a veterinary technician at Animal Medical Centers of Loudoun - Ashburn Farms. I have worked in the veterinary field for 5 years so you can have ease knowing your pet is in good hands with me. I have experience administering medications and fluid therapy if need be. Animal’s have always been my life and my true passion. I would love to meet your furry companions and love them as if they were my own.

Marissa is the only dog walker we'll use. She has taken care of our greyhound for about a year now and came as a referral from close friends. Marissa is always attentive and loving to our little (not so little) boy. He always looks forward to his walks, and we to her reports of their time together. She's been there in a pinch when we've needed to be away. She's simply the best! Needless to say, we are very lucky to have Marissa care for our baby.
Marissa is the best dog walker I've ever had! I've had many different dog walkers over the years. What makes Marissa special is that she really cares about your pet. Recently she called me at work to let me know my dog's ear was bleeding. She also texted me a picture. She waited for me to come home so I could take him to the VET. My dog is always excited to see her (sometimes more excited to see her than me). She is reliable and responsible. She has had to clean up a few "accidents" on occasion, and she always leaves you a note letting you know how the visit went or if she notices any changes in your pet's behavior. She has also done overnight visits with my dog which is so great because I can leave him in his own environment when I am away. You can't go wrong with her. Please feel free to email me directly.
Marissa has grown up with dogs her whole life and truly loves animals. My dog is usually a bit wary of strangers at first, but she warmed up to Marissa super quickly and gets excited every time she sees her now. She's a great caregiver for her dogs as well as the dogs she sits for/walks. I highly recommend her - your dog will have a great time!

I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company during their stay. I can easily crate your dog if needed as well (when requested).

I would like to know whether or not your fur baby is dog friendly, has any special needs/requirements and if he/she is house-trained before sitting them. For boarding, I require all dogs to be on regular flea/tick prevention, be spayed/neutered, and be up to date on their rabies and distemper vaccines. If your dog frequents daycares/boarding facilities I would prefer them to be up to date with a bordetella vaccine as well. Please let me know ahead of time if your dog has any health concerns (seizures, diabetes, cancer etc.), I’m happy to have them as long as I know what I’m working with!
A typical day
I have long trails around my house to have extra fun walks. I love to play fetch and tug of war. I’m also happy to snuggle on the couch. Whatever your dog needs, I can accommodate accordingly.

Availability
My fiancé and I’s full time jobs are on opposite schedules so during the week one of us will always be home to spend time with your furry baby and keep them entertained. Weekends I am home full time to play with your dog and spoil them with love and affection.
