Pet care experience
I have been a pet owner my entire life including dogs, cats, hamsters, iguanas, crabs, frogs, etc! I have a love for all animals (I’m the type to take bugs outside over killing them)! My friends often ask me to watch their pets while they vacation because of the love and attention I give them. Since moving away from my childhood home, every roommate of mine has had a pet and I have always loved and helped care for them as if they were my own.

I had to travel overseas and leave my cats for a little over a month. I had a wonderful experience with Marissa. She was incredibly reliable and followed my care instructions. I have two timid cats that are very wary of strangers but Marissa genuinely cared and made the effort to make them feel safe and comfortable at their own pace. My cat Rosie even sat in her lap (which she never does to anyone other than me)! Marissa also kept me updated with regular photos and messages and about the cats and the apartment, providing peace of mind while I was away. I will definitely be using Marissa’s services again in the future.

Marissa went above and beyond. In addition to frequent updates on how my cat was doing, she made sure everything at my place was okay during some pretty nasty weather. Such a sweet person! I was so nervous to leave my cat for an extended absence but Marissa put me completely at my ease. I knew my cat couldn’t be in better hands.
Marissa house sat my cats for nearly 3 weeks and did a great job! The house was left exactly as it was, the cats are looking healthy and happy, and she clearly followed all my many instructions for their care. She also proactively reached out with any concerning behaviors. I was very worried about leaving my cats for so long and now see that I didn't need to be.

I had a large apartment where pets have ample space and easy access to outside for them to be walked or use the restroom. I do not have any other pets living at my current apartment so any and all pets watched will have my full attention.

A typical day
I love taking the dogs I watch on runs or on long walks! I live very close to Washington Park which has a dog park inside that I like to frequent.

Availability
I work part time and easily can watch, walk, feed, spend time with your pets, etc. while you are away! I have a car to transport myself and have a lot of free time. I am very active and am fully capable of taking pets on runs or very long walks.
