As a retired law enforcement officer, my life’s motto is and has always been to “protect and serve.” Since I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to serve my community and care for those in need––to make our world a better place. After many years as a police officer, I’ve decided to take a different direction with my life at the age of thirty-seven. Dogs have always been a tremendous part of my life from a very early age then when I was training to be a police officer, I trained with German Shepherds during my internship as well as lived with a police department service dog for seven years. My family bred Golden Retrievers and Great Danes, and now I am a fur mom to a sweet two-year-old Lab named Buddy. I can still remember the very first pup Ellie when I was seven years old and she was the best Christmas gift! These days it feels really hard to find a person who is truly trustworthy and honest––I remember when you could leave your front door unlocked and never bat an eye. As someone who wore the uniform with pride, honor, and compassion, I hope you can come to count on me as a reliable, attentive, loyal, and hardworking friend. Despite preventing crime was a large part of my career, I have a very positive and uplifting outlook, and love to play! I’m athletic so I enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities, especially running or hiking with a furry companion by my side. I truly believe in the therapeutic powers of animals, especially dogs, and I want to be a part of something that is nurturing and peaceful. This is now my full-time job and my schedule and availability is all to help you! As a retired police officer who knows how to handle animals––you can be assured that your beloved pup will be in very capable, patient, and experienced hands. I always root for the underdog, so you can bet my adoration applies to our best friends and just for the pun. As long as I’m alive, I will be a fur mom, and it would just bring me even more pleasure to have a full house of wagging tails and kisses. It can be an additional stress of leaving your fur baby with a total stranger since our pets can’t communicate in the same language, and you can never truly know what’s going on while you’re away. Of course a badge doesn’t absolve me from anything wrongdoing, we’re all humans after all, but I’ve dedicated a good part of my adult life in a career where I put my safety second to that of the public. You can know in your gut that I will do everything in my power to make sure your pup is cared for, loved, and respected. I take great pride in bringing a sense of security and dedication to my work––whether it’s on the beat or taking dogs to the park.
