Pet care experience
I am a professor at CU who moved here from Chicago, where I often looked after dogs ages 1 - 10. I have experience to care, bathe, walk/run, take for errands, play, hike, set your doggo up for a cozy night, etc. We can hit up a dog park, a lovely trail, or play at home, I'm all ears!
Reviews
Marisa did a great job taking care of our two boys. She's super responsive and got along great with the boys. She also did a great job of mini-crisis management, keeping us up to date when the power company shut down our system for 2 days in high winds. Definitely recommend and will have Marisa sit for us again!
Thank you so much for taking such great care of our King puppy, we will absolutely reach out again in the future for service needs, thank you!!
Marisa was great! She stayed in our home while we were on vacation. Luna had big walks everyday and lots of love. Our house was very clean when we returned and it was great price of mind having Marisa stay with Luna so she didn't have to go to the kennel.
Marisa was fantastic with our dog and our cat! She was very communicative and was such a respectful house guest. We will absolutely be using her again to care for our pets!

Safety, trust & environment
I have taken care of dogs with vastly different ages and backgrounds (from newly adopted to newly born to old and sweet!) From mini doxins to big pitbulls -- I like to feel out a dog to learn the pace/energy they need and feel most safe. That way I can spend time with them in the ways that make their tails wag the most! If house-sitting, I leave your place cleaner than when I found it and send lots of photo updates!
Information Marisa T. would like to know about your pet
I like to know if they are good with other dogs or get anxious. I also like to know their background/history of triggers. I like to know if they're good with kids or will get scared while passing them on a walk. Any medications, favorite toys, crate training as well is important to me to learn.
A typical day
Depending on the dog's needs and energy levels, I'm happy to take them for a walk at the pet-friendly Twin Lakes flat trail in Boulder, or meet some puppy friends at CU South trail. If the dog is low energy, I like to play in the house with their toys and hang out with them in a quiet or cozy spot.

Availability
I am a full-time professor at CU with summers and winters off. Therefore my schedule is very open during the weekday / weekends for summer and winter months. Currently prioritizing full weekend house-sitting for Memorial Day!
