I have taken care of dogs for my entire adult life and absolutely love it. I have my own dog Pia who is 8 years old and is the love of my life. I frequently care for my friend’s pets when they are away and treat them as my own. I am a veterinary social worker meaning I specialize in the relationship between humans and animals so caring for animals is truly my life’s work. I have volunteered for dog rescues and dog shelters and was also a dog walker when I lived in a bigger city

I don’t have a fenced in yard but that means fur babies get extra walks for bathroom breaks and exercise. I have one dog who enjoys the company of other dogs so you can feel certain that your pup will have a friend while staying here. My home is your dog’s home and you can expect that they will be sleeping on the furniture is that’s their thing!

A typical day
I love to give dogs a chance to be both physically and mentally stimulated. We will go on many walks and spend time outdoors! I have plenty of toys for mental fun and stimulation too

Availability
I recently moved back to Indy and work as a therapist. I have a very flexible schedule that I make weeks in advance and am rarely out of the house for more than a couple of hours. My partner works from home as well and has also been a dog walker and of course caregiver to our dog Pia. When not working I am spending time with my pup and others and prioritize walks, hikes, and any other outdoor time.
