Your pets safety and well being is my number one priority! Proper safety measures are always taken with any and every pet and will accommodate owners request as well as going over all details during the meet and greet. I always carry a flashlight and a reflective bag for evening walks, a portable dog water bottle, potty bags, etc. and am able to bring treats per pet parents request! I will use the pets usual harness, leash, treats, etc and am able to bring spares of these items if needed. I always plan meet and greets with all my new families so everyone will feel most comfortable! Please let me know any questions or concerns as I’m always around to help!

It’s important for me to know your dog or cats likes/dislikes, preferred toys and activities, anything that might make them anxious or reactive and anything else you’d feel is important to share with me about your fur baby! Please leave detailed written care instructions for your pet here in the app or on a note in your home so I can follow your pets routine and care exactly how you would! I love caring for all dogs and cats no matter the breed, size, age, personality, etc!
A typical day
I’d love to do any of your pets preferred activities, whether that’s a short slow walk or a long fast paced one, playing with toys inside or outside while also taking into consideration if your pup needs high energy or low energy play. I’m happy to find preferred toys and engage in play with your cat or just chill with them if they prefer to relax! If your curious about any enrichment activities or toys for your dog or cat I’m always willing to share my recommendations and make sure that your pet has a great time each visit with me!

Pet care experience
Experienced caring for dogs of all sizes as well as cats for 10+ years which includes pet sitting for friends and family, caring for my own animals growing up and volunteer work. I started pet sitting here on Rover in May of 2023! I have many years of experience with senior dogs and cats which includes medication administration. I am very experienced with anxious dogs and cats as well as rescue animals with complex behaviors and needs. All animals deserve love no matter their background and I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own! I always make sure to go at the dog or cats pace and give them whatever time they need to feel comfortable with me! I have a strong passion and love for animals and can’t wait to meet your fur baby!

This was my first time using Rover, and Marisa came highly recommended by a friend. I was incredibly impressed with her daily communication, detailed updates, and the wonderful pictures she shared each day. It was clear that she genuinely enjoyed spending time with our cat and gave her lots of care and attention. When we returned home, our cat was calm, relaxed, and content—which is very unusual, as she is normally quite vocal and upset when we’ve been away. We’ve had friends and neighbors stop by before to give treats and check in, but it was never the same level of care and companionship that Marisa provided. We are so happy with the experience and would absolutely love to use Marisa again in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive cat sitter!
