Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Marisa. I have been around animals my entire life. I have worked with animals professionally since I was 15, with experience working in the veterinary and behavior and training departments of animal shelters, veterinary offices and kennels, doggie day care, and as a dog-walker and pet-sitter. I love big dogs and little pups alike. I have worked with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and breeds, from mastiffs and sheep dogs to chiweenies and pugs. I currently spend my free time with my 12 year old mastiff and his boisterous 2 year old hound sister. I ADORE SENIOR DOGS AND CATS! What if your pet isn't a dog or cat? You're in luck! I have experience with rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, lizards, turtles and more. I understand that our animals need love and compassionate care when we have to leave them, whether for the day or for a vacation. Let me give your babies the extra attention they need!

Toys, treats, praise? -On a scale from 1 - 10 (1 = doesn't know the command to sit, 10 = can do elaborate tricks and/or tasks like a working dog) how does your dog respond to training commands? -Can your dog have treats? -Does your dog have medical conditions to watch out for?
A typical day
I love taking dogs on hikes in the forest. Have a high-energy dog that is well-trained off-leash? I'll take them to anywhere from the lake to town, depending on your location and what kind of experience you want for your pet. I am also happy to spend quality time with cats and small companion animals like rats, rabbits, ferrets, and reptiles.
