Pet care experience
We're a 30s-something pet-loving couple living in the Hudson Valley for the last 6 years! We took a break from professional dog sitting as we focused on our school/professional lives but we’re excited to get back into it! We love giving our pup some social time without extending our fur family (yet!). Between the two of us we have great daytime/nighttime flexibility to care for your dog or cat! We have a very friendly dog of our own, Kaiya, who loves to play and cuddle with dogs, cats, and humans alike! We just ask that your pup/cat is house trained (although we get that accidents can happen) and can get along with our Kaiya. Izzy had another great visit with Marisa, Jared, & Kia. Even though it was about 6 months between visits, Izzy knew exactly where we were as soon as we got to the parking lot at Marisa's house. She went straight to Marisa'a door! I am so pleased to find such caring sitters for my dog-Izzy can't wait to go back!
Izzy had a great weekend with Marisa & Jared, and they were so good with her. This was Izzy's first stay with anyone outside of family members, and she really settled in with Marisa and Jared and their dog Kaia. They sent me many photos during the stay as well as texts to keep me updated. I really appreciated their effort. Izzy became great friends with Kaia, and I think she was actually a bit sad upon arriving home without a playmate. I will definitely take Izzy to stay with Marisa & Jared and Kaia again. Loki had a wonderful weekend with Marisa and her family. It was wonderful to enjoy my weekend knowing he was in good hands!
Marisa and Jared took care of our boy Pepper this past weekend and it was great! They were incredibly responsive, asking all the right questions leading up to our stay to make sure Pepper had a great time. And during the stay they sent us tons of pictures showing us how much fun Pepper was having. Every step of the way they were considerate and helpful, even packing up Pepper's stuff for us before we picked him up. We'll definitely be contacting them next time we're upstate!

We love all dog breeds! Our dog, Kaiya, is very energetic but she tends to respect the energy level of our clients! We just ask for dogs who are potty trained to go outside and cats who are litter trained.
A typical day
We live in a friendly apartment community with plenty of areas to walk, but also like to go to Mesier, Longdock, or Bowdoin parks! We also love using positive reinforcement like treats and praise to teach new tricks or games to burn some mental energy! Your pet will definitely be loved as one of our own, and we make sure to honor the ways you care for them as if they were home.

Availability
Marisa works day shift Monday through Friday, and Jared works overnights Thursday-Sunday. This means your pet will almost always have both human and dog company!
