Pet care experience
I am a full time nurse who is an animal lover with 20+ years of taking care of animals. I grew up with Jack Russell terriers, cats, and even riding horses. Currently I own an Aussie who I attend training classes with. I provide safe walks and drop ins for your babies. I know how nerve wracking it is to leave your pet with someone, so just know I treat every animal as if it were my own. I have few people I trust with my dog, and one of them is my rover sitter!

My Puma was in excellent hands with Marisa. As she needs daily medicine, Marisa took great care of her and ensured she got her pill every day I was gone. I was able to relax knowing my baby was safe and loved!

Marisa is one of the very few people i trust to care for my dogs when I am not home. She loves every dog like her own and that’s a treat because she loves her own dog copious amounts. She is hyperaware of her surroundings and adapts to all temperaments. Any dog or animal in the care of Marisa is a lucky one and a safe one!

In a clients home, I would like to do a meet and greet first to see if I am a good fit for your dog or cat. With that being said, making sure I see your animals personal space and how they function to make them as comfortable as possible with my visit.

Let me know if your dog has a preference for approach, putting on leashes, or their behavior towards other animals or what specifically to avoid. We will not interact with other animals if you choose us not too. Safety and trust is first.
A typical day
First, I love a good walk! Did you know 15 minutes of sniffing is equivalent to an hour of physical exercise? It’s important to let your dog smell all the smells! Their walk is for them, so I let them take their time sniffing everything they’d like. If your dog knows commands, I like to practice those too! I bring a Fanny pack with poop bags, owner approved treats, and some extra goodies. If your dog has a favorite walk I am more than happy to bring them there. It’s also nice to let them enjoy new scenery and smells.

I am a night shift nurse who works 3 shifts a week. This means I have 4 full days off that rotate, so I have ample flexibility.
