Pet care experience
‼️CURRENTLY INACTIVE ‼️ Need help finding a sitter with a unique background plus expert, veterinary knowledge of animals? Here’s some fun facts about my experience: * I was an ER veterinary technician working at PVSEC for 5 years. * Did volunteer work at my hometown animal shelter while I was in high school! * Graduated from Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh in 2016 to obtain my Associate’s in Veterinary Technology. * Worked with Downtown Pittsburgh Dogs as a dog walker/pet sitter during college! I switched careers and became an x-ray technologist. I now do Rover in addition to that so I can get the best of both world’s. 🌎🐾💖 I love animals with all my heart and want nothing but the absolute best for them! 😊
Reviews
Marisa did an excellent job watching our dog and communicating with us while we were away.
Marisa was great with our pup! She was very communicative and worked with our schedule!!! Thank you!
Marisa C. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Marisa did a great job watching our two dogs! We really appreciated her checking in with us to let us know what was going on, it made us feel secure that they were ok

I cannot take any pets into my home at this time as I don’t have a fenced in yard and have 2 cats at home. However, I am always able to come to you as I feel your pet feels more secure and happy in their home environment. Thank you so much for choosing Rover, and I hope you choose me to pet sit your fur baby/babies! ☺️💛
Information Marisa C. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know the pet’s temperament. Knowing how they are when meeting strangers, how they are with other dogs, and how they behave on walks will greatly help me in how to establish a better relationship with your pet. I absolutely do not have any breed preferences! *It’s important I know your veterinarian’s number and location in case of an emergency. * I require your pets are up to date on rabies vaccines, and I may ask to see their ID tag or certificate. * If an emergency happens at night, I would take them to the closest veterinary ER. We can, if needed, go over a plan as to how I’ll communicate with you while there, what is allowed to be done on your pet, price limits, etc. so we have a game plan just in case!
A typical day
I would love to go on walks that your dog goes on! I am also fine with taking your pet to a local park as long as they are not aggressive towards other dogs. For cats, please let me know if there are any behavioral concerns. I am able to administer any type of medication to your pet (subcutaneous fluids, insulin, asthma inhaler devices, PO medications, ear meds, etc.) as well. Whatever you are comfortable with, I will gladly do with your pet.

Availability
‼️⚠️ If I am house sitting longer than 5 days, I require a grocery store giftcard for my stay as a courtesy because Doordashing for a long booking is very costly. ‼️⚠️ When I have work, I am willing to be flexible and help coordinate your pet’s care if you are okay with me working 8 or 12 hour shifts. As of now, I start my new job late November. I will update this section and my Rover calendar once I get my official schedule.
