My husband, Jerry, in a studio apartment in Hell's Kitchen. We are both huge dog lovers and native Chicagoans. He grew up with a yorkie poo named Jasper, and a border collie named Rambo and I had a cocker spaniel named Curly, two cats named Bully and Melany, and a hamster named Amy. We love animals, and are pretty comfortable and familiar with caring for them. He has been in NYC for 15 years, and I have been here for 10 years. We added a chocolate Merle Pomeranian named Kobe to our little family (IG: @kobebearpom) in 2020. While we love having a dog of our own we are still excited to open our home to your pets. In our ideal world, we would have a house filled with all types of dogs, big and small. But since we can’t do that yet, this is as close as we can get for now to living out our dream. My husband and I work opposite schedules, which means there's always active company and plenty of walks during the day. Our pomeranian goes out 4-5 times a day, he even has a stroller :). With at least two of those times being dedicated to playtime for at least an hour (weather permitting). If he isn’t up for playing we still like to sit outside and people /dog watch especially when it’s not too hot. He has chronic joint issues, so we have experience with special needs and accommodations, especially for smaller breeds. We truly take in every pet as our own. From sharing our couch, and bed, brushing them, and giving them treats for being good pups. We want your dog to feel like they are on vacation too! We understand how stressful a new space can be for some and we truly take the time to play with them, organize adventures to the pier or park, and hand feed those that need extra care.
