Hello! My name is Marilyn (They/Them), I’m 21 years old, and I’m willing to pet sit in the Boston area! Here’s a little bit about me: - I am a vocalist at Berklee College of Music looking to make extra money through pet care! - I’ve been using rover for about a year now and it’s one of the best jobs, I enjoy making a connection with animals - I can care for cats as well as dogs! - I live in an apartment close to commonwealth ave, a great spot for walking dogs and meeting other dogs if you want your dog to socialize. - I grew up primarily with cats, and within the past two years I have been working as a pet care provider for dogs, so I have gained a lot more experience with dogs to make me feel confident to look after your furry friend :)

Marilyn was great at caring for my senior dog, who has diabetes and requires insulin shots. She was right on time for meals and walks and sent plenty of pictures. She was always reachable and quick to respond. I will definitely be hiring her again to care for my dog!
Marilyn and my dog Lily are best friends. Lily loves Marilyn and always asks for pets. When Marilyn walks Lily she communicates very well with her and has great control of the leash and can direct Lily efectively and with care. I can tell Marilyn has a strong connection with animals and she is very trustworthy.

If I am doing a drop in visit or a house sitting gig, I typically feed the dog and focus on quality time, if that is what the dog wants. If it is a new dog, I like to spend a lot of time building trust and just hanging out and enjoying their company.

Let me know how your dog does when passing other dogs on the street so I know how to maintain their attention. Additionally let me know if your dog has any stranger anxiety so I can respect boundaries as much as possible.
A typical day
I am a huge cuddler when it comes to dogs and cats, I can tell they appreciate physical affection and I appreciate it as well. The Boston Commons is a great place for dogs, and walking up and down commonwealth avenue has been a great place for them as well.

Availability
My class schedule is pretty sporadic, I never have more than one class a day and my classes are no longer than two hours. I also have roommates so the dog will never be alone in the apartment for dogs that have separation anxiety. House sitting opportunities may only work for me on the weekends.
