Pet care experience
Hello and welcome to the Wiener Palace. We can help out with your small to medium size dogs and little, little ones are welcome too. We like shorter walks around our Hillhurst neighbourhood in Calgary, but we get everyone out frequently and often.

Mariko is an amazing dog sitter! My Finn stayed with her for a week and she took fantastic care of him! He adores her! She has 3 well behaved and sweet dogs and Finn got along with all of them. I would recommend Mariko without hesitation!
Mariko was magnificent! It was Conan’s first stay with a stranger and most of the visit went well. Conan has some stranger danger and guarding issues around walk time and Mariko was honest with us about his inappropriate behaviour, adapted the walking plan, and was incredibly supportive. We truly appreciate her support and expertise with Conan as our little dude worked out some issues. Her two dogs and neighbour dogs played with Conan enthusiastically and he came home exhausted from their fun adventures. Thank you Mariko for taking of Conan with such kindness and expertise, we truly appreciate you!
The minute I set foot in Mariko’s home, I felt so safe and welcomed, and I knew my dog felt the same! I received so many photos and video updates during his stay along with the the kindest messages. Can’t thank her enough for taking such good care of him and treating him like one of her own. He will definitely be back to stay again. ♥️
If I were a dog, I would want to be Mariko’s dog or to stay at her house. Mariko has 2 super cute and friendly dachshunds and loves all furry beings. She has checked in, fed, played and cuddled with our cats a few times when we were away overnight. Your dog will be happy and well cared for at Mariko’s. Everybody is treated like a prince or princess at the ‘Wiener Palace’. I know because I live next door. Mariko is a gem!

A typical day
We like to explore the neighbourhood and my dogs know everyone and vice versa. I usually walk mine three times a day. Usually I knock off my studio work around 4 pm as I like a good cooking adventure after that. Then it is hang time with the woofers.

I work from home as a ceramic artist so I am very rarely away from my home and studio for more than the occasional few hours. Plenty of time to hang with your kids.
