Everything went great. Marika stayed at our house for 8 nights to care for our dog Brizo (and our kitty, by default). She was very attentive and asked relevant questions during the meet and greet, while taking notes of important matters. She followed up via email during the visit with questions and updates, which provided additional peace of mind. She left the house just as she found it, and Brizo was MUCH happier to stay in her own home with a friend, versus her very stressful stays at the kennel. We have already booked Marika for our next trip. I can highly recommend her, and am happy to provide a personal reference. My only 'complaint' is that they weren't as happy to see us as usual!!! Which I guess is actually a compliment in the end.....

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - Being brand new to the area and not knowing anyone (literally, moved from Reno to Kirkland 11/11/11 and was traveling on 11/20/11) and having to go back to NY for Thanksgiving, I thought I was going to have to board my baby boy named Bart. However, rover.com was recommended to me and I decided to check it out. I picked one person out of the blue who was unavailable and then got to Marika's profile. She was OUTSTANDING! I asked her to come meet my boy and myself on Saturday morning. She came, ontime, and was very organized with her passport and license (since she was going to have possession of my house and baby, I had to be safe and do a background check just for my own, anal self). We had an enjoyable conversation and she agreed to come back on Tuesday evening to stay with Bart for 5 nights. She did make it back Tuesday evening as planned and stayed with Bart throughout the holiday weekend. She would text me updates and offered to Skype with Bart if I wanted to. When I returned, my house wasn't burnt down and my boy was still there (my two rules that I gave to Marika to follow). She did a great job, my house was as I left it, and my boy seemed very happy. I couldn't have been more pleased with this 'complete stranger' and I can highly recommend her and will be utilizing her many more times as I travel for business and pleasure. Thus, why I hate to recommend her as I don't want to have her booked when I need her!! But, that said, you truly have nothing to worry about in having Marika stay with your dog or your house. The only negative I could say is that she doesn't have a car but she seems to know the bus system very well. But, quite honestly, I would trust her with my car as well.
