Pet care experience
I have a love for animals, especially dogs. I adopted a small Maltese years ago and he was my everything. I recently lost him this summer so I currently have no pets in the house. I miss having my little companion so I decided to reactivate my Rover account. I work from home, so older, calm dogs are preferred, I have a soft spot for the senior pups :) By working from home, I’m able to take dogs out for a walk or potty break several times a day. Due to living in an apartment only dogs under 20 pounds are allowed. I’m very well versed in having to give dogs and cats medications whether it be pill form or orally with a syringe. I had to do this 3 times a day with my Maltese. I know leaving your baby with a stranger can be scary but I promise you that I will love and care for your baby as if it’s my own and provide pics and daily updates. Marielle did a great job caring for my dog. She gave daily updates with a couple photos. She also took him on multiple walks per day. She made sure that he met other dogs that he liked overall, she was very pleasant and responsive to work. I am very happy that we found her and had a good pup vacation
Super sweet and great with my pets.
Marielle took great care of my yorkie. She took lots of pictures and sent me daily updates. My yorkie got along great with her dog, Monkey. I would definitely take my dog back to stay with Marielle again!

I live in an apartment however there are two parks close by. My apartment is safe and clean as my recent fur baby would eat anything on the floor, so I’m still very cautious of that. No human food is ever given to the dogs, only dog food/treats that are provided by the “pawrent”. Even though no human food is ever given to the pets, I am very well versed in the foods that are dangerous to cats and dogs.

I think it’s important to know the energy level of dogs and how often they need to go outside. For example, my dog used to love to go outside but due to his arthritis I had to limit his walking even if he thinks he can keep going (because he LOVES his walks). Also, any special diets, eating habits, etc.
A typical day
I have two parks by house where I like to take dogs to run and play and release some energy. Unfortunately when I lost my Maltese, I donated all his toys so please bring a few toys with your pet and I will make sure playtime happens because what pup doesn’t like a little tug of war? :)

I currently work from home so I’m pretty much home the majority of the day. If I do have to head out, I never leave a pet for alone for longer than 4 hours.
