Hi everyone! Hello! My name is Marielle, and I'm a Cobble Hill-based freelance documentarian and huge dog-lover with lots of free time due to my flexible creative schedule. I grew up with labs all of my life, including two lovely, playful sisters, Penny and Margaux who still live with my parents in Princeton. (I try and get home to cuddle with them whenever I can!) As high energy puppies and cuddly adults my years raising labs has given me experience with a wide range of temperaments and energy levels. Whenever I'm between projects I volunteer at Animal Haven in Soho which means spending time caring for all kinds of dogs from ages to breeds, large and small! I'm lucky enough to live in a dog-friendly home near the Brooklyn Bridge Park where there's an awesome dog run and grassy piers by the water. I'm also close enough to Prospect Park for pups who favor more exercise and open fields. I have two clients who I regularly look after but would love to sit for some new Rover pups! I typically take dogs out 4-5 times each day, but am happy an open to sticking to whatever schedule your dog is used to! Your dog is welcome on the bed and couch and is welcome to sleep in wherever they're most comfortable. (There are toys and treats abound!) I currently only host one dog or a family of dogs at one time, meaning your dog won't be staying with dogs they don't know, but I'm more than happy to host more than one dog from a household. In the event that your dog has a friend who also needs sitting, I'm happy to host them as well. This is all in the interest of making your furry friend feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible!
