Hike, swim, play- we can do it all!
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Marielle and I'm an animal lover. I grew up on a farm and have had many dogs, cats, horses and other pets over the years. I've worked and lived at a dog boarding facility where I helped with day to day operations, doggy day care, and was in charge of all off-site hikes! I've also walked dogs more casually, using online apps, and doing house calls and walks around the neighborhood. For the past ten years I've volunteered at animals shelters working with both cats and dogs, doing walks, cleaning up, feeding and bathing, plus some basic first-aid and medical services. Whatever you are looking for I'd be happy to help! My job has flexible hours and I'm available to house/pet sit overnight, stop in and check on your furry friend while you're at work, do a 30 or 60 minute walk, or take them on a hike if they have lots of energy and are well-behaved! Spending time with animals is my passion and I can't wait to meet your best friend!
Reviews
Marrielle is very good at taking care of animals. She has had a few dog walking/boarding jobs. She has taken care of my family's dachshund on several occasions. She is also very hard working and reliable.
Marielle is amazing with animals! She has taken care of my dog and cat on several occasions and is super responsible and always loving to my precious pets.

Skills
Safety, trust & environment
My car is set up to transport animals easily and safety is my number one priority! I currently own a small Long-Haired Speckled Dachshund (12lbs) and a much larger Husky/German Shepard mix (70lbs) so I'm able to accommodate any size and will adjust activity and how I care for each pet dependent on what they need/want.
Information Marielle F. would like to know about your pet
Total honesty is preferred. I have experience with many breeds of cats and dogs and I'm comfortable working with all personalities. If your pet has a behavioral problem, that's fine I'd just rather know before I enter your home so I can best be prepared. I'm patient and good at managing respectful and healthy encounters and the more I know coming into a situation, the better off for everyone. I'm completely open to all breeds and have had experiences with aggressive, fearful, and anxious animals but I know every animal just needs time to trust and ultimatly wants to be loved. With all the quirks on the table, so to say, it will be easier for your pet to have the best time possible!
A typical day
I'm an avid explorer and can bring your fluff on many trails depending on their age and fitness! I hike many trails where dogs must be leashed, but also volunteer at the Human Society and have access to an off-leash dog park there. And I allow a dog to dictate their own walk-- if they have lots of energy and want to go far and fast, no problem! If they are more mellow and enjoy taking in lots of smells I'm happy to oblige! There is no rush, and I allow dogs to set the pace on walks. If your pup just wants some fresh air and love we can always just sit outside and enjoy the day. Whatever your pup's adventure needs are I will find the perfect activity! I'm an avid cat-lover as well and enjoy playing games with mouse-toys, lasers if allowed, and if your cat just wants a lap to sit on I'm happy to oblige!
