It really makes me sad to have to leave an unfavorable review. My past experiences with Rover have been nothing but fantastic, however, this last time had me very concerned. My dog, Carl, has some medical issues that requires him to be on several medications. I was relieved to see that Mariella's profile listed her familiarity with administering all types of medications. Even still, I carefully walked her through the schedule I had created, which had important words in bold and in red, i.e. when/how a certain medication should be given. The morning after he was picked up, I noticed that a weeks' worth of one medications' pills were missing. Doing the math, it appeared that Mariella administered twice the dosage that Carl required. She confirmed that this was the case, even though it went directly against the instructions given. Fortunately this was a supplement that did not have an adverse effect, however, I shudder to think what would have happened to him had it been another medication. He could have gotten very sick, or worse:( In addition, Mariella found a bloody towel in Carl's crate and did not seem to understand where it came from. A while later she sent a photo of Carl with the top of his nose raw with blood. I immediately asked how long she had been leaving him in the crate because he probably rubbed it raw trying to get out. Come to find out that he had peed in his crate days earlier and it had not been properly cleaned. No wonder the poor little guy did not want to be in his crate:( The entire time we've had Carl he's never once had an issue with the crate, or having a single house training issue. Not a single accident, and not a single escape attempt. It's needless to say how upset we were at these incidences, and how stressed we were being away from him. We were so worried about Carl that we had our friends pick him up early. We will not be leaving our baby with Mariella again.
