Do animals know how great they are?
Pet care experience
My first pet was a Siamese Cat who I adored from the age of 6 until I was 20. My first dog, Justy, blessed my life from 1989 until 1999. I've never been able to go through the heartache of losing a dog again so I decided to do the next best thing and pet sit and dog walk for friends and neighbors which turned into a small business venture for many years. I love being outdoors and walk for fitness and I've never met a dog who doesn't love the same!
Reviews
Marie was terrific! My dog was well treated for the time she spent with Marie, and as a senior dog that was important. Nevi can be difficult, but Marie was very kind to her. I appreciate very much the care that Marie provided for my dog.
Guinness seemed very happy to be at Marie's for a visit. I felt confident that he was in good hands the whole time. I will definitely reach out to Marie again the next time we go out of town!
Marie was such a great caregiver for our dog. She wanted to meet him and find out everything that might be helpful to know about him, to make his stay smooth and comfortable for all. I felt good leaving him with Marie and will do so again!
Marie took care of our dog Goldie when my daughter was first born, about 11 years ago. We have remained friends and to this day, whenever Marie comes by, Goldie is in ecstasy for 15 solid minutes. Marie has that special something that dogs and other pets respond to extremely positively. Call it her vibe, her energy, whatever you'd like, but Marie embodies it. She is also very active online whenever there is a need regarding dogs in her community. She truly cares deeply about dogs and their families.

While I do have a rather large, fenced in yard, I would never leave a pet unattended or allowed to walk without a leash, even if it's for a moment and even if the owner tells me that they do that in their own home. I have no other pets or children in the home and I would like to consider my home, your pet's home while they are here. However, should you request that your pet be restricted from being on furniture or beds, I will gladly reinforce any rules so as to not create any bad habits while your pet is in my home. I am very thorough to go over any dietary, behavior and health issues with your pet prior to them staying with us. It's very easy to spoil them when they're so cute but I get that rules are important too!

Information Marie Z. would like to know about your pet
Any dietary restrictions and allergies are of the utmost important things for me to know. Any behavioral issues are also very important including any fears or phobias the pet may have.
A typical day
I live within walking distance (or driving distance on a cold day!) to Glen Island park in New Rochelle and have many other walking routes around my neighborhood. There’s lots to sniff and we both get great fresh air and exercise. I have some toys in my home which some dogs like to play with. If hanging out at home or cuddled up on the couch is what your pet wants, I’m game for that too!

I currently work locally and spend my lunch hour at home and never spend more than a few hours away from home at a time. My fiance also works locally and loves to drop in on visiting pets we may have.
