Pet care experience
I have former experience being an adoption coordinator for a rescue, and so we have fostered both long-term and short-term and have hospice/medical needs experience due to our former puggle (blindness, diabetes, and later canine cognitive disorder). Marlon has been a part of this journey as well and is the primary feeder and walker. He connects with every dog we encounter! We have experience administering insulin, shots and measuring blood sugar. We also understand incontinence and accidents! We cannot have cats in our home due to our dogs’ inexperience but can do cat visits and in-home stays. We have house sat and visited our friends’ pets with medical needs as well.

Marie and Marlon were very easy to work with! They were very accommodating for dogs and have a great space for them. They sent regular updates throughout our 10 day trip and I know my fur kids were well cared for. We will happily have our dogs stay with them again!
While Luna’s regular dog sitter was out of town, I booked daycare with Marie & Marlon, and they were both FANTASTIC! They were willing to accommodate my request to meet them and their two dogs, Jasper and Lola, before confirming Luna’s daycare. When Luna stayed with them during the day for daycare, I could definitely tell that they love and care for their pets — as well as any other pets they welcome into their home. Once Luna warmed up to being there, she seemed to really enjoy hanging out, going on walks and relaxing with them throughout the day. They also updated me often with pictures and are very responsive. I will definitely trust them to watch Luna again!

We have a fenced-in yard with access right from the front door outside. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds. Walks are able to be given as we walk our dogs multiple times daily (weather permitting). If we both have to be out of home, it would be for a short period of time, communicated ahead of time and separation with gates. We also will be feeding separately to give everyone their own time to eat.

Please let us know if medicines need to be administered and if they have any physical limitations. We can also crate and leave off furniture if needed to keep at-home routines consistent. If your dog is a grazer, we would love to know so they can have frequent access to food. We also require meet and greets prior to booking or before stay.
A typical day
Our dogs are 14, but love walks! We’ll take your dog(s) along if they are able. Because they are seniors they much rather observe than play these days. However, if your dog doesn’t mind independent play we can use ropes and balls to play some tug or fetch!

Availability
We both work at home during the week, so dogs have regular access outside. We have 2 dogs in their golden years, and so they spend their days maxing and relaxing but also get one lunchtime walk with Marlon. We also do an evening walk if the weather/light permits. We’ll be home as much as possible during evenings and weekends.
