Marie siempre ha amado a los perros, y a los gatos. Es una persona que sabe comunicarse con ellos, sabe entenderlos y hacer que le hagan caso. Siempre fue la encargada de mantener saludables a los perros de nuestra infancia, era quien estaba cuando iban a dar a luz (sabía el momento preciso de parto) era quien les daba medicina. Los perros lloran de alegría cuando la ven. Hasta los perros bravos le tienen respeto y la aceptan; cualquier tipo de perro confía en ella y la quiere. En nuestros viajes familiares siempre se les acercaba a los perros de la calle (Aquí en Venezuela hay muchos perros sin hogar y sin dueños) sin importarle si andaban enfermos o bravos se les acercaba y les daba agua, comida y cariño. Incluso mientras más delgados o tristes estaban más se acercaba y los atendía. Uno de sus sueños siempre ha sido tener una casa grande y albergar animales y personas sin hogar. Realmente no dudo en el amor que ella le va a dar a tu mascota, es una necesidad de su naturaleza, ella no los ve como animales los ve como parte de la familia.
