Pet care experience
I have a lot of experience with all kinds of pets, including rabbits, hamsters, dogs of all shapes and sizes, and cats. I know how important it is for pets to get their exercise, and I especially know how important it is to keep them on top of their meds and maintain a healthy diet. I’ve owned mostly large dogs (Saint Bernard and Great Pyranese), and am comfortable walking and taking care of larger breeds. I have experience with smaller dogs as well, and I know that sometimes they need more potty breaks! I’m also comfortable with cats, and am willing to clean litter boxes. My dad currently has three dogs and two cats that I adore and have been taking care of since I was 10, and I am used to newer pets and puppies as most of our adoptions have been spontaneous or rescues.

I have known Marie for over 6 years and have nothing but good things to say about her! She is caring and responsible, and I've seen her bond with many animals, especially dogs. My dog can sometimes be difficult with other visitors and tends to be picky about her friends, but she loves Marie and calms down very quickly when she visits. She is patient and trustworthy, and has watched my dog on several occasions including overnight stays. Additionally, Marie engages well with dogs by taking extra time to make them feel safe and loved.

I’ve always kept my dogs at home inside during most of the day so they aren’t affected badly by the Texas weather. I also think it’s important to always have a leash on a dog if they are not in a fenced in area at home! Making sure animals are safe and sound is my top priority.

Before I meet your pet I’d like to know how comfortable they are around new people, if they’re taking any medications, and how often they may need potty breaks and walks. I have no breed preferences; I love all dogs!
A typical day
Tug-a-war is definitely on the list of fun things to do with dogs. We’d also play fetch, look around outside, and of course make sure the doggos have good meals and plenty of belly rubs! For cats, we’d cuddle (if they’re into that), play with string toys, and maybe they’d get some treats for being super cute.

Availability
I’m available for drop-in sits between 6-9:30am and 2-10pm most days. I can also do overnight stays during the week and weekends. I babysit part time and have class Wednesdays from 11am-6pm.
