I prefer small dogs, house-trained, who are not consistent barkers, especially if left alone. I live in a co-op and a barking dog would be a problem. I also have a very friendly Female Shih Tzu, 8 years old, who loves to have playmates, so it would have to be a friendly non-aggressive dog.

I live in a dog-friendly community. There are beautiful grounds at my co-op and lots of dogs around to play with. We can go on long or short walks all around the area. I will need to know your dogs needs. (My availability will change in September when school starts, but I would consider overnights at my place during the week, on work nights, if the dog proved to be easy going and no problems. I may be also able to do doggie day care during the summer.)
