Pet care experience
Since I was born, there hasn’t been a day that my family didn’t have a cat. I’m a cat lover to the core, and can appreciate the wide range of personalities and needs they have- I’ve seen it all! While I have more experience loving on kitties, I’ve also taken care of dogs frequently since 2011, and more sporadically before then. Before moving to Seattle, I was the resident pet-sitter in my neighborhood, caring for many different breeds and ages of cats and dogs. I am comfortable giving pets oral medicine, eye drops, and breathing treatments, and have cared for senior dogs who need assistance eating.

Maridee cared for our two cats for 12 days while we are on vacation. She is very responsible and did a great job taking care of them. We would love to have her again.
Maridee came to the rescue after our rover reservation was cancelled 8 hours before our flight for our 5-day trip! She was extremely communicative, punctual, and was able to accommodate & take care of our two doggos with no meet & greet. Mind you, one of our dogs is extremely shy around stranger. Needless to say, we’ve found our go-to sitter!

I only care for pets outside of my own home as we have some of our own already! In a client’s home, I am comfortable with almost anything. Crating, letting them run in the yard, walking around the neighborhood, etc.
Information Maridee W. would like to know about your pet
In general, just let me know what they like. Do they like their wet food smashed with kibble on top? How do they like to play? For cats it’s good to know if there are certain spots they don’t like to be pet. For dogs it’s good to know if they jump, bark, or have situations they don’t like that can make them nervous. Before taking dogs on walks, I like to make sure I’m comfortable with them and they’re comfortable with me before taking them outside the home (aside from to use the bathroom)
A typical day
For cats, it really depends. We have two (very different) cats at my house. One likes to sleep and be alone, and play with a bee toy every now and then. The other likes to go on walks, go outside, and chase string. For dogs, I like to play fetch, work on tricks and give treats, and walk around the neighborhood or run around the yard. Just let me know what activities your pet likes, and I can do them.

I am able to see critters anytime during the weekend, in the mornings and evenings during the week, and am usually available for any of the holidays!
