Expert Care, Happy Pups!
Pet care experience
I’ve had a love for animals for as long as I can remember. Throughout my life, I’ve had dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, fish, and currently have a Holland Lop rabbit named Lola. When I was 15, I adopted my German Shepherd/Beagle mix named Elvis who changed my life. When he turned 15, he developed many health problems including Vestibular Disease, Cateracts, Arthritis, and he lost his ability to walk which shifted me into caregiver mode 24/7 for the last 3 years of his life. He ultimately passed as the ripe age of 18 and I miss him dearly. I also cared for my other pup Chloe during her chemo treatments until she passed at the age of 11. Her vets specially told me how they loved that I could recite her medicines and discuss her daily routine in detail when asked. These experiences not only grew my overall love for dogs, but also grew my love for providing a safe space for Senior pups, including those with special needs. Having a Special Needs dog hindered my ability to be away from home longer than a few hours, so I truly know how important and special it is to know and trust someone enough to care for your pup with the same love and care that you give them.
Reviews
Marianne is one of the few people I trust with my super high-energy pup. She has looked over my 3 year old Aussie multiple times from the time my pup was only 6 months old. If you can handle a 6 month old Aussie you can handle just about anything! She is so patient, loving, and nurturing with my pup and I am always confident that my fur baby is in THE BEST hands when she is with Marianne.

My home is 2 floors and is basically dog-proof since many of my friends and family’s dogs come and visit regularly. I have no problems with your pup lounging on the furniture. In fact, I encourage it! I have a fenced in backyard for some off-leash roaming. The backyard opens to a park and soccer field right outside the back fence. There is also a 2-mile walking path just steps away from my home where me and your pup can explore for extra stimulation.

Information Marianne R. would like to know about your pet
Prior to booking, you, me, and your pup will hop on a video chat through Rover to get to know each other better. In this quick chat, we’ll go over your pup’s needs like medications, their temperament, and anything else I need to know about them to make their stay comfortable. Whether it’s your first or 100th time being away from your pup, I understand it could be difficult and stressful. The goal of this chat is to calm those concerns and see if we’re a good fit!
A typical day
In the morning, the humans will brew coffee and your pup will enjoy some breakfast/treats as we get prepared for the day ahead. The afternoon usually means lunch in our backyard, weather permitting, while your pup can people watch park patrons through the fence. If your dog prefers a nap, we have an outdoor bed ready for snoozing! If you’re here for Doggy Day Care, the evening means it’s time to say goodbye for the day. We’ll make sure your pup’s food and toys are all packed and ready for pick-up. If your dog is staying overnight, evenings means dinner time! Once bellies are full, we can enjoy some cuddles or play time until it’s time for bed to do it all over again tomorrow!

I currently work from home 4 out of the 5 days of the week, so I have plenty of time to devote to caring for your pup. I’d love to share my day with a cute pup to make my WFH work day better.
