Pet care experience
I spent most of my childhood every summer working on my family's farm. We had anything from the standard dogs and cats, to chickens, goats, horses, donkeys, and a few rogue peacocks! My mom works as a professional dog trainer, with over 20 years of experience, training any dog breed. I've grown up with German Shepards, Belgian Malinois (my best friend actually contracts out his dog training services with the Dallas PD's K-9 unit), Pomeranians, Chihuahuas, Spaniels, Weimaraners, and Boxers. I have fond memories playing with my various dogs Additionally, I love cats! I'm an animal lover just in general, and have worked with various animal right organizations over the years. My mom currently serves on the board of the Northern California SPCA, and my grandmother founded a local nature center that rehabilitates wild animals that my family is still active in. I've taken care of animals my entire life, and I want many of my own but the moving nature of my job just doesn't allow it. Rover allows me to take care of other people's animals and spread the love! <3

Mariana took great care of our older, anxious pup. She was flexible and communicative, sending lots of pictures and working with us on pickup and drop off when something came up. We look forward to her loving care of our little one next time we need to leave town!

I currently hold clearances with the U.S. government for my job (I build safe rooms all around the world for the Department of State), so in addition to be cleared with a background check from Rover, I also have extensive background checks with the U.S. government. Your trust in me to not only let me into your home but to also watch your fur child is my #1 priority & I don’t take this lightly. I live in a walkable area of Arlington, VA. There is a pet relief area in the middle of my apartment complex, as well as cute walkable areas surrounding my apartment complex. Everything in my apartment is washable, so pets are allowed to roam freely wherever they want :) Additionally, in my room, I have space for a large dg crate (if you prefer crate training, which I am well-versed in). I have watched pets with various medical needs, so please let me know what your pet's needs are, and I am happy to accommodate them! My only policy is no unfixed pets for my boarding services please! (I’ve just had issues in the past) I also have a car, so if there are any emergencies, or there's a specific park you would like me to take your pet to, I can absolutely accommodate that as well! Please let me know if you have any questions :)

I’ve pet sit all kinds of dogs with special needs (anxiety, needs meds), just please give me a detailed description of what your dog needs and what I need to do to make their stay as safe and as comfortable as possible. My only policy is no unfixed pets for my boarding services. I’ve tend to have the most issues unfortunately with unfixed pets, and because of that, I tend to avoid them.
A typical day
My typical day starts with me waking up early in the mornings for my meetings, and I usually take the dogs that I’m sitting out several times a day since I am work from home. I go on extended walks throughout the day (I usually hit 10,000 steps in the morning or at night)

I currently am work from home, so I am very flexible with my schedule. I also work out daily, and walk / run over 6 miles every day around my neighborhood (I go for a walk after every large meal, so essentially I wake up 6:30 AM, walk around my neighborhood with my coffee, then another walk at lunch, and then another walk a couple of hours before I go to bed.) I'm very active, so if your pet requires a certain level of activity daily, that's totally fine by me! Additionally, I'm a bit of a homebody where I would rather be hanging out with animals and being around them than people HAHA. so giving a lot of attention and love to your pet won't be a problem :)
