Pet care experience
While I was growing up, I had the chance to be around so many different animals and continuing with that into adulthood has always been important to me. When not volunteering at animal shelters, I was usually cuddling with the pets of friends or family. I’m also the one who talks to all animals, whether cows in a field or stray cats and dogs. Once an animal lover, always an animal lover. Later I went onto to earn animal behavior certification from Cornell University and started one of the country’s largest 501c3 boxer rescue nonprofit organizations that covered seven states. Because I travel often, I’m without a dog at the moment so I decided to supplement my life with Rover by caring for your pets. I get all the fun, butt scratches, zoomies, and cuddles and your pets will love it. What you receive with my services is a professional, responsible, educated (Master’s degree), and caring dog sitter who does this not because I have to, but because I want to be with your pets. If you don’t think that makes a huge difference, just ask them. Nutrition, behavior, and training are all important to dog ownership along with lots and lots of love, all of which I’m ready to share with your pets. My specialty is dogs with separation anxiety as my own dog suffered from it terribly. I’ll be a calm presence that will provide the necessary reassurance without making the situation worse. I’m also quite fond of big, active dogs so if that describes your dog, let’s meet! PLEASE NOTE: When you book with me, you get me. I do not subcontract out to anyone ever. No one wants surprises when it comes to their pet’s care and you have the right to have your pet sitter vetted with a thorough background check, especially when having a stranger in your home.

Marian is a true animal lover. She sees your fur kids as your kids and treats them extremely well. We have a rescue that had a really rough life and doesn’t trust people easily. She cuddled with Marian the first time they were together. This is a true testament to the loving spirit that Marian has. I could not be happier to have found someone in Las Vegas to care for our babies when we are traveling.

When you provide information on your pet, you will feel confident in my abilities to follow all of your instructions to the letter. Be it special diets or nutrition or quirky things unique to your pet, have no worries. Rest assured they will be loved and cared for exactly as you ask. Plenty of play time and walks if that’s they want or cuddles and belly scratches. I promise your pets will be as excited to see me as I am to see them. Can all dog sitters say that? Never worry about your fur babies while you’re out of town. I provide regular pictures and/or video of your pets along with summaries of how things are going. This can be adapted for each individual client based on their needs. While Rover automatically adds pics to my profile, no pictures are posted anywhere, i.e. social media, without the owner’s permission.

Anything that’s important should be written down. That includes medication, food and treats, specific routine, likes and dislikes, etc. If they have a special toy or blanket, especially if they’re crated, be sure to let me know. I’m currently working on my dog first aid and CPR certification. Please provide gate and/or security codes in advance through the app. Additionally, if you have any security video cameras inside your home, per Nevada law you do need to disclose this. I have no issue with the cameras as it won’t change how I act inside your home, but any cameras in private areas designed for sleeping, changing, or the bathroom should be turned off. Feel free to discuss this with me further should you have questions. MEET AND GREET: I highly recommend meeting with me so both you and your pets can feel comfortable with the process. Once you’ve confirmed my availability, we will book the service and Rover will release your address.
A typical day
Everything is dependent on your fur baby. If you have a high energy dog, then we will take a long walk or hike after breakfast. That’s followed by play time, naps, chew time (if appropriate), and cuddles and hugs throughout the day. No request is too big or strange. My boxer babies (pics in profile) were completely spoiled. Josie had her very own Barbie pillow for sleeping. Gunther had medical issues and was allergic to everything including cats! Between my own dogs and rescue dogs, I’ve had to deal with behavioral and medical problems galore. My goal is to make it easier for you to go and have fun because your animals will not only be properly cared for, but loved as well. Additionally, you can expect your home to be well take care of in your absence. Mail, packages, garbage cans, etc. will be brought in and your home will always be left as it was when you departed. Need plants watered? Need me to ask your neighbor a favor? Just part of the overall house sitting service I provide.

Fortunately, I’m able to set my own schedule as I can work from anywhere. My laptop and phone are all I need to work, but while I’m in your home, your pet is my main concern. Not only does my flexible schedule make your life easier, but I benefit from the time I get loving and caring for your pets. While I’m in your home, your pets and home are my priority. I am there for the entire duration and do not leave unless I have advised you ahead of time. You can be certain that no one will enter your home besides me and that your pets won’t be taken from your home unless we have discussed it. My services are provided in your home for your convenience and do not require me to take your pets anywhere without your permission. Basically, it’s your house and your rules and I’m not looking to deviate from them. I’m there to provide a stable, familiar, and caring environment for your pets when you’re not there so you can travel with peace of mind that everything back home is as it’s supposed to be.
