Pet care experience
I have lived with dogs almost my entire life. It is easy to love dogs, but it is difficult to be patient and understand every dog's needs. Some are more energetic than others, so they need more exercise, some are shyer and need more emotional support, so I first study them and adapt to what they need and anticipate any behavior. I like to introduce myself to dogs by staying still and allowing them to sniff around because that's how they know/feel whether I'm a threat to them or not. Dogs feed off of energies, so I want to stay calm as much as possible, especially in a challenging situation. I avoid pulling the dogs and exercise is key to a calm easy-going happy walk.

Maria was fantastic! My dogs are a handful - they're anxious and not great with new people, so I always worry about finding sitters - but they absolutely loved Maria! Maria came by the week before for a meet and greet to get to know the dogs and the house, and for the dogs to get comfortable with her. She spent loads of time connecting with them and playing with them, enough so that when she came back for the house sit, they were excited to see her and not overly anxious about me leaving. It made it much easier for me to go and I was so much less stressed the entire time I was gone. Maria responded quickly to all messages before and during the house sit, and sent me photo updates of the dogs while I was gone. I came back to three very happy dogs who were excited to see me, but also sad to see her go. I'm so enormously grateful to Maria for taking such great care of them and making things so easy on me!
Maria did a wonderful job with my pup!! I was able to enjoy the trip knowing my baby is taken care of!
Maria is very sweet and clearly loves dogs!

A typical day
I love to play with dogs and run/play with them, specially if they have a lot of energy. I have three big parks right behind my house and all of them are fenced. They’re usually empty in the mornings and specially on the weekends, so they have a lot of room to play and run if they want.
