Hi (: I am a current nursing student meaning I spend a lot of my time at home! I have been a foster parent at the local animal shelter and have been dog sitting for the past 4 years. I have experience with medical cases such as recovery for three legged cats, and senior dogs. I also have experience in some dog training as I would have to house train the dogs and get them ready for adoption! I live with my boyfriend, Cody, who is a nurse and a big animal lover as well. We do have a pug who gets along with all animals. We also have grown up with pets our whole lives, both large and toy breeds. We love going for nature walks, so if your dog needs a lot of exercise we would love to bring them with us, but if they’re a couch potato I would love the excuse to stay at home ! Anyone who has met us knows that we share a huge love for animals of any species and size.

Maria took amazing care of my fur kid! Sent daily pictures, made sure he got plenty of exercise, and gave him lots of attention and affection. Highly recommend!
Maria was wonderful with my 4 month old chihuahua, Jefe. It was his first time being boarded since we adopted him, so I didn’t know what to expect. She loved him as if he was her own, & I could tell he felt completely comfortable during his stay. He was very happy when I picked him up & it was as if he hadn’t missed a beat when he came home! I will definitely rely on Maria again the next time Jefe needs to be boarded.

We live in a townhome with a backyard, but we also live near a nature trail as well! I would take your dog out as often as needed. If they are crate trained, I have no objection to crating them. I respect your house rules, so if pet’s aren’t allowed on furniture at your home they won’t be at ours, or vise versa, so there is continuity in the training you set up. Cody and I will love your pet as our own, it’s just us in the home and our older pug and would love the extra company.

A typical day
My boyfriend and I are very active people, we love going to dog beaches and going to pet friendly state parks and nature trails for some long walks. I also love teaching dogs new tricks and have lots of fun stimulating them mentally. I also run pretty often, so if your dog needs a daily run, we can definitely make that happen.

Availability
I currently only work one day a week due to school, so I have plenty of time at home to play and care for your pets! Cody only works three days a week so he’s home for the other four as well! There will almost always be someone home with the pup. We also go on daily walks in our neighborhood, or sometimes in the nature trail by our home, so they will get plenty of time outside if they require it. We are both young and active and would have no issue handling a high energy pet.
