Pet care experience
I've had pets and worked with animals almost all my life, ranging from the aquatic, scaly, and feathered to hooved and four-legged, and I have previously worked as a vet assistant. I aim to offer every fuzzy family member the utmost respect and attention as I would my own animals. I'm an extremely meticulous and attentive person and will follow any instructions/requests to their fullest extent - I want to know anything and everything about the pets I meet to make sure I'm fulfilling all of their needs and making sure they enjoy themselves in the time I spend with them. Currently I'm accepting jobs for walks and drop-in visits, and I'm open to any additional requests within those :)

Maria is great with dogs and is a dedicated dog owner. During our Freshman year at college, she had her dog, Happy, on campus for a visit. Maria had rearranged her dorm before Happy showed up, making room for Happy's dog bed, food bowls, and a few of her favorite toys. During Happy's stay, Maria made sure to take her on a walk through campus to some of our most iconic landmarks - and got some adorable photos while she was at it. Overall, I would say that Maria is very conscious of her dog's needs and is a responsible care-giver for dogs.
Maria is a very loving and responsible person. She loves animals and is a very responsible dog owner. She has a dog of her own since she was 5 years old, and has cared for and loved her until this day. She is very aware of how to care for dogs.

I'm an extremely attentive and alert person with a deep understanding of animal behavior and body language. I base my actions around the comfort and safety of the pet, and constantly monitor the surrounding area for triggers on walks.
Information Maria R. would like to know about your pet
Any history of aggression and towards what (cats, dogs, people). I prefer not to work with larger people-aggressive dogs/those with a history of biting, smaller ones are manageable. If a strong prey/scent drive is present (squirrels, birds, etc) that would also be helpful to know. The general temperament/energy level of the dog (i.e. are they a gentle walker or the type to constantly pull and chase at anything that moves?) Training level/known commands - for dogs with poor or no recall/heel I like to be extra vigilant and keep a shorter leash
A typical day
I love setting up food puzzles and doing unique enrichment activities to keep pets happy, smart, and (most importantly) tuckered out in time for mom and dad to come home.

My schedule is entirely open, as I'm currently in asynchronous online coursework. Weekdays are preferred, but depending on the requests I can do weekends as well.
